UMBC’s chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) has committed itself to community philanthropy and student recognition. They have developed relationships with partner organizations in Baltimore to such as the Samaritan’s Women’s Farm a local sanctuary for survivors of human trafficking and domestic abuse. Our commitment to service shows most in the biannual Peanut Butter and Jelly night where the UMBC community comes together to create over 600 Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches for a local homeless shelter, Our Daily Bread.
The UMBC chapter of NRHH has been active since its founding in 1993 and is committed to serving the Baltimore community and the recognition of its residents. Through events such as Facultea, NRHH has been recognizing the outstanding work of UMBC’s students, faculty, and staff for over twenty years.
